Volunteering is so incredibly satisfying and gratifying, and when you volunteer at 180, it's very much a win, win, win situation. You'll learn how the farm works and grow your gardening knowledge from our 16+ years of operating 180 Farm! You'll help grow the nutrient dense food we provide families fighting cancer, and we guarantee you’ll feel great doing it! Not only that, but you'll get to play in the dirt and enjoy this beautiful world that we live in as we show you how we nurture it.
What To Know Before You Volunteer
We are so excited that you are interested in becoming a volunteer at 180° Farm. There are just a few facts to know before you sign up...
180 Degree Farm is a working, production farm, which means we have lots of equipment, small and large, that are dangerous for children to be around. We understand (and agree) that our farm is a really great place to expose children to, but unfortunately it's not child proof. Therefore, we are requiring the volunteer age to be high school age and older. (We highly recommend scheduling a tour for small children.)
Please keep in mind that all volunteer opportunities on the farm are outdoors with bugs, dirt and indecisive weather conditions. Most tasks on the farm are very physical in nature - even weeding requires carrying a full bucket of weeds to the compost pile.
Which Volunteer Style Are You?
I'm On My Way – I'm available weekly and would like to let you know when I can help out each week.
On Call – I would like to be part of the group text for any medium project that 180° Farm might need a few extra hands.
Group – I can put together a large group and tackle a project whenever 180 needs me.
